The Ceded Finance and Operations function is responsible for delivering a strategic and forward-looking organization that will :
- Advance the Company’s growth and profitability goals through the enablement of the Ceded Reinsurance Strategy.
- Provide clear accountability for outward reinsurance contract administration, outwards reinsurance controls and outward reinsurance reporting; and
- Drive process excellence and better data and analytics through technological enablement and our partnership with Genpact.
The Ceded Re Sr Analysts (CRA) will report to the Ceded Re Lead who reports to the Global Head of Ceded Re Finance and Operations.
The CRA will oversight and operational support for facultative administration including ceded premiums, losses, settlements, accounting, and other related ceded activities.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Global Facultative Operational and Reporting Support
- Have a working knowledge of reinsurance contracts / Facultative certificates and resulting reporting requirements to assure ceded premiums and loss calculations are compliant.
- Review and interpret facultative certificates to setup contract terms for processing in reinsurance systems (ProCede)
- Coordinate ceded premium month end close process including review and validate reinsurance transactions with AXIS offshore partner
- Coordinate the monthly settlement of facultative business as well as resolving related issues and inquiries with AXIS offshore partner
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensureaccurate communication and timely response to inquiries
- Assist with oversight and training with offshore partner
- Assist with cash administration including GL postings and reconciliations
- Assist with claims and underwriting when necessary to resolve inquiries
- Internal status or KPI reporting for various ceded activities
- Working knowledge of foreign currency exchange related to currency conversion and settlements
- Support departmental compliance with operational controls including, but not limited to SOX controls
- Other ad-hoc requests as required
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Range of 4-7 years’ experience in reinsurance operations
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power Query).Advanced excel knowledge a must
- Advanced excel knowledge required
- Internationally recognized qualification pursuit or equivalent experience (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) a plus
- Retrocession and / or third-party capital industry knowledge with operations and reporting experience a plus
- Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems a plus (ProCede and Oracle / SmartView)
- Experience with Offshore operations a plus

For this position, we expect to offer a base salary in the range of USD $72,000 - $120,000. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors, including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
