Job Description

The Plant Manager ( PM ) will partner with the Molded Products Division Leadership team driving outsized growth through superior operational execution.

Responsible for maximizing the Gross Profit performance of the operation and exceeding our customer’s expectations for quality and delivery.

The business represents approximately $80 million in net sales and 250+ employees.

Organizational

The Plant Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations for Molded Products and work closely with the General Manager, Molded Products.

The Plant Manager will have six direct reports including the Assistant Plant Manager, Production Manager, Compounding Manger, Materials Manager, Shipping Manager, and Maintenance Manager

Key Focus Areas

1) Drive profitability growth through efficiency improvements to lower the cost of manufacturing.

2) Champion Preventative Maintenance to limit downtime. Our presses are the lifeblood of the Plant and we must have them all in the best possible shape.

3) Champion the Employee Experience by developing our personnel into professionals that can have a great career.

4) Champion Customer Experience mentality that drives improvement based on Customer needs which may include innovation in how we produce, how we package, our quality and our delivery methods.

5) Develop an inventory / warehouse min / max that will support growth in the Ecommerce channel.

6) Leadership : The Buck stops with the Plant Manager. This Plant is the largest of the two business units, the Plant Manager is a senior member of the Division Leadership team and in a highly influential position.

Key Attributes : The ideal candidate will :

1) Have a sound understanding of how to navigate an income statement.

2) Have an experience in Compression Molding, specifically with Sheet Molded Compound.

3) Have Experience in the Bath Ware industry.

4) Have exceptional Operational Leadership experience to drive KPIs and improve plant performance.

5) Have a strong desire to grow a high potential business and the grit to see it through.

6) Have the ability to lead in a team-oriented environment.
