POSITION DESCRIPTION :

This position works with leadership to identify targeted growth opportunities through the evaluation of our network and market for Trinity Health Medical Groups (IHA & West MI).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • With guidance, conducts market and network assessments to identify growth opportunities.
  • With guidance, develops and refreshes environmental assessments of primary / secondary service areas and new markets as requested.
  • Manages key growth initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • With support, conducts due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Supports on-going development of specialty network through evaluation of specialty performance and referral patterns.
  • Supports planning of new ambulatory sites.
  • With guidance, identifies gaps in services through analysis of referral data.
  • Maintains and grows market intelligence capabilities to support strategic planning process.
  • With guidance, analyzes patient segments to develop strategies to drive retention and new patient acquisition.
  • Leads other analytics work as assigned.

  • Must be able to work effectively as a member of the Planning & Development team.

  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with Trinity Health Medical Groups’ standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains general knowledge of Trinity Health Medical Groups’ office services and in the use of all relevant office equipment, computer and manual systems.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in compliance with Trinity Health Medical Groups’ and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Serves as a role model by demonstrating exceptional ability and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.

  • If applicable, responsible for ongoing professional development maintains appropriate licensure / certification and continuing education credentials, participates in available learning opportunities.

Performance that meets or exceeds IHA CARES Values expectation as outlined in IHA Performance Review document, relative to position.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration or another health-related field preferred.

CREDENTIALS / LICENSURE : None

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 1-3 years.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ABILITIES & SKILLS) :

  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Experience with database reporting tools, statistical analysis and relational databases.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for appropriate and effective response.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to executives and physicians, either in-person or virtually.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, including proper phone etiquette. Ability to resolve conflict in situations where the audience may be less than receptive.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel. Ability to use other software as required while performing the essential functions of the job.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; displays courteous and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively and develop good working relationships with various levels of organizational members and diverse populations including IHA staff, management, providers, provider and executive leadership, patients and family members, insurance carriers, vendors, SJMHS and Trinity Health.
  • Ability to cross-train in other areas of practice in order to achieve smooth flow of all operations.
  • Good organizational, project and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple priorities and time constraints.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle patient and organizational information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to drive to other office / practice sites and meeting and training locations.
  • Successful completion of IHA competency-based program within introductory and training period.
