Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the Airframes business within the North Hollywood Flow Control business, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) asset performance of a million-dollar business that supports both civil and military end customers.
- Develop world-class manufacturing operations using automation, documented processes, demand flow technologies, and a team of empowered employees to continuously meet customer expectations.
- Maintain close contact with customers to gain insight into their needs as well as general market requirements for business unit products.
- Provides leadership for direct report employees and cross-functional team members.
- Fully support the Site Business Unit Manager.
- Interact with current and prospective customers, trade associations, regulatory or government agencies, and all levels of the organization, including corporate officers, group, and corporate staff functions.
Essential Functions
- Profitably grow the business unit consistently and annually, working with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products, and services.
- Establish and maintain premier customer service, leading by example.
- Lead strategy for the business unit concentrating on lean initiatives, strategic pricing, and strategic procurement.
- Provide leadership to two operational value streams within the business unit, leading engineering new product introduction projects and technology roadmaps, and partnering with finance to support Lean Accounting principles, Planning, Sales / Marketing, and New Product Development functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
- Develop a budget plan and manage the business unit within budget constraints.
- Maintain familiarity with a competitive environment within the geographical area of responsibility.
- Represent the operation at the business unit and division levels.
- Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
- Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
- Ensure the business unit conforms to local, state, and federal government regulations, promoting business units within the industry, manufacturing, trade associations, and local community.
Job Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline required. A Master's or MBA is desired.
Total years of experience : 10+ years of related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
