We are looking for a Medical Assistant for a 13 week contract based in Lexington, NC.
$840-$1000 a week.
Schedule : Mon Fri daytime hours
Temp to perm if of interest. $2k paid 90 days after going perm, $2k paid at 1 year, and $2k paid at 2 years)
The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed number hours per week and includes available stipend amounts; eligibility may vary subject to company policy and applicable law.

As an Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing admin and also direct and individualized care to patients.
Medical Assistant Qualifications :
- CMA / RMA Preferred
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
Medical Assistant Duties & Responsibilities :
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Assisting the physician during examinations
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Instructing patients about medication and special diets
- Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections including vaccinations / immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.
g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)
- Transmitting prescription refills as directed
- Phlebotomy
- Taking electrocardiograms
- Wound care and changing dressings
