Era Living is seeking a part-time Security Receptionist to become the newest member of our Administration team at our Ida Culver House Broadview Community in North Seattle, WA.
Available shifts will be scheduled Saturday, 11 : 00pm - 07 : 30am. On call for additional coverage.

Primary Responsibilities :
Performs routine security tasks and light cleaning of Community, including security rounds, investigating reports of unusual activity or uninvited persons, ensuring that gates and grounds are secure, light vacuuming and general clean-up while on security rounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responds to emergency situations, calling for back-up if needed
- Answers telephone lines at main console as back-up to the on-duty receptionist
- Greets visitors and residents, and provides directions
- Performs interior, exterior and perimeter rounds of Community to ensure gates and doors are secured and locked for resident safety
- Promptly reports any facility emergency to supervisor or director on call
- Performs light housekeeping duties, including vacuuming. Ensures public areas are clean, tidy, and free of hazards
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with residents, families, care-team members, staff, volunteers and visitors
- Assures that residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights are followed
- Ability to react effectively to emergency situations
- Ability to use word-processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the internet
- Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and Era Living policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
Education and Experience :
- High school graduate with knowledge of security or law enforcement, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in security work and answering a multi-line phone system
- Current certification (or willingness to obtain certification) in First Aid and CPR
