Responsibilities :
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, firm policies, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee a reliable internal control system in line with SOX 404.
- Check and uphold the accuracy of the job cost ledger following GAAP stipulations.
- Compare actual performance with anticipated results, making necessary financial amendments as required.
- Compile audit paperwork when needed.
- Examine periodic job cost reports, spot check cost activities, formulate budgets and bi-yearly predictions, and discern variances.
- Communicate with project managers to troubleshoot issues and enhance decision-making process.
- Manage and direct the operations of the accounting team, serving as a mentor to develop their abilities and foster professional progression.
- Work alongside project management to gather estimates and distribute prompt monitoring reports to project managers and other corporate leaders.
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Proficiency in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries
- Experience in Month End Close
- Previous experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm or large Public Accounting firm preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
