PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of agronomy crop production input products, feed, and grain to and from various locations.
This role involves operating commercial vehicles, ensuring timely delivery, and providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), experience in agricultural transportation, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Safely and efficiently transport feed, grain, and agronomic crop production input products and supplies to farms, retail locations, and warehouses.
Load, transport, and unload agricultural equipment and machinery as needed.
Ensure the vehicle is in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including maintaining proper documentation and completing necessary inspections.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring satisfaction with delivery services.
Assist in the loading and unloading of products, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic, weather, and road conditions.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tires, and brakes and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or delays encountered during transport.

REQUIREMENTS
Educations and Experience
Normally, it requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor-trailer or tender truck equipment and meet company and DOT standards.
Functional Competencies
Experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the agricultural sector.
Knowledge of agronomic crop production input products and their safe handling.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and agricultural equipment.
