Job Description
The School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics seeks an adjunct clinical instructor to perform weekly clinical visits one day per week to assess MRI student progress at assigned MRI sites in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire.
- Collaborate with the MRI Clinical Coordinator to manage student clinical instruction at assigned clinical sites.
- Travel to student assigned clinical sites to assess and document student development and progress in MRI scanning, safety, and patient management skills
- Meet with clinical preceptors and the MRI Clinical Coordinator to discuss student progress
- Advise and assist students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
- Supports incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion into the curriculum, as well as co-curricular experiences, to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of health disparities
Requirements
Required :
- The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the content areas required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MRI
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MRI
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical work experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Minimum of 1 years of teaching experience or clinical education
- Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and / or professional education and student success
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration / staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
- Must be able to travel in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire
