Job Description
The School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the MRI Program.
The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching a 2-credit course on the Boston Campus 9 : 00am 10 : 50am on Thursdays, January May for undergraduate students in the MRI program.
Subject matter will include Patient Care in MRI
- Provide in-person instruction for the MRI program on the Boston campus
- Provide students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria.
- Include pertinent patient management learning material as outlined in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) 2020 Magnetic Resonance Curriculum
- Incorporate hands-on learning experiences when appropriate
- Use Bb Ultra, the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students.
- Support incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion into the curriculum, as well as co-curricular experiences, to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of health disparities
- Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
- Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment
Requirements
Required :
- Bachelor of Science required
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MRI
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical work experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and / or professional education and student success
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to use various forms of Microsoft Word products including PowerPoint
- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration / staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
- Must be available to teach in-person on Thursdays 9 : 00am 10 : 50am, 01 / 13 / 2025 05 / 02 / 2025
