Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists with compliance issues with federal, state, local and company policies.
Safeguards all company assets. Assists with training, evaluating, scheduling and counseling of the security personnel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Security Department.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
- Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES / JOB DIMENSIONS : Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Bally's Shreveport from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally's Attendance Policy. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality / entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
This includes all shifts, weekends and holiday periods
