What You’ll Do

As the College and University Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations with universities and academic institutions.

You will serve as the primary recruiting point of contact between Applied Materials and partner universities, driving initiatives to enhance engagement, innovation, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and execute a comprehensive university engagement strategy to establish and strengthen relationships with key academic partners

Coordinate with internal teams to align university engagement efforts with Applied materials business objectives and priorities

Oversee recruiting events, managing campus ambassador program and ensuring a diverse and inclusive recruitment marketing campaign

Identify opportunities for collaboration, including research and capstone projects, joint initiatives, and student programs

Organize events, workshops and seminars to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking between Applied Materials and university stakeholders

Serve as a liaison between Applied Materials and university career centers to support recruitment efforts and internship programs

Track and evaluate the effectiveness of university engagement activities, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies

Stay informed about industry trends, academic research, and emerging technologies relevant to Applied Materials business areas

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business / engineering or relevant field; advanced degree nice to have

5-8 years’ experience in university relations, business development or related field

Proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships with academic institutions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

Strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives to completion by utilizing data and market insights

Knowledge of higher education landscape, research trends, and academic culture

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to travel as needed to meetings and events

U.S. Salary Range :

$156,000.00 - $214,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
