Digital Marketing Content Creator / Specialist

American Furniture Warehouse seeks a digital content creator / specialist who understands how to create and write for various digital channels, including social media, texts, e-mail, web pages, and blogs.

This person will have a solid understanding of how each channel works with content and how to optimize content to be always engaging.

The Best Candidate will have an excellent grasp of the latest marketing tactics as well as traditional ways to reach customers and understand where each has its place in the marketing mix.

This position works very closely with our marketing manager as well as graphic designers and videographers, so if you love being a team player with creative suggestions and tactics, please apply!

Objectives of this role :

  • Taking a lead role in writing and curating content for AFW social media platforms. This includes optimizing content for visibility, establishing and rewriting content for changing trends or needs, and finding ways to increase AFW visibility.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy and editorial calendar that aligns with the company’s goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  • Creating high-quality and compelling content across multiple platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, text, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Optimizing content for search engine optimization (SEO) and ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone of voice.
  • Create, execute, and analyze text and e-mail marketing channels and platforms.
  • Attend photoshoots and video shoots for BTS (iPhone camera use only is OK, no professional camera needed).
  • Engage on social media, making / replying to comments, sharing for UGC, connecting with influencers, and building new influencer networks.
  • Stay abreast of new creative trends, and insights, and generate ideas on how to best translate these across our content and social media channels
  • Keep up to date with competitors and our customers’ demands so we are constantly ahead of the curve.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement rates, and conversions, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (., graphic designers and videographers) to gather information and develop content that supports marketing campaigns.

Required skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a content creator, content strategist, or similar role.
  • Vast knowledge of existing and emerging social platforms : Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
  • Social media savvy with attention to audience and channel, plus experience managing social media for an organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, engaging, SEO-friendly content across digital platforms.
  • Experience using analytics tools to monitor content performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
