Responsibilities :

• Primary responsibilities are to support a supervising scientist in the execution of experiments for the development of novel epigenetic assays
• Ensure availability of materials and equipment to carry out experiments.
• Learn to prepare DNA libraries for Next Generation Sequencing following established procedures.
• Assist in the planning and preparation necessary for sequencing libraries from a variety of epigenetic assays.
• Perform QC on DNA libraries generated from assays such as CUT&Tag, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq or CUT&RUN.
• Learn to use equipment such as thermal cyclers, thermomixers, centrifuges, sequencers.
• Assist scientist in development of basic experimental protocols for routine use.
• Maintain complete and thorough digital lab notebook.
• Author draft versions of manufacturing documentation required for efficient product transfer and release to market.
• Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve standard laboratory techniques, improve protocols, processes and equipment.
• Learn cell culture techniques such as maintaining cell line cultures and preserving cells for long term storage.
• Maintain current lab supplies of common reagents and re-order as needed to maintain workflow.
• Performs all work with a high accuracy of execution.
• Prepare buffers and related solutions.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and assist with lab maintenance duties

Qualifications :

An Associate of Science (AS) degree with 0-1 year laboratory experience, with a working knowledge of experimental design.

Equivalent experience may be obtained through relevant laboratory class work.

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of basic laboratory techniques, equipment and materials, and data analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Salary Range : $21-27 per hour*
• The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training.

The salary range represents Active Motif's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the posting.

Certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission, bonus, and stock options. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
