Summary
This role in the Corporate Environmental and Regulatory Affairs group is accountable for supporting all wastewater, land application, wastewater permitting, drinking water and Clean Water Act programs for facilities throughout North America.
This role serves as the Company’s subject matter expert for industrial wastewater treatment activities and is responsible for assisting (or leading) permitting, ongoing compliance, and resolution of challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the company subject matter expert for wastewater treatment technology and operations, including evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, review of designs, facility commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Supports and / or leads permitting and compliance programs for wastewater land application, Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requirements, NPDES permitting, and other Clean Water Act (CWA) matters.
- Track and review proposed regulatory requirements and communicate any new requirements as regulations are promulgated.
- Assist in addressing enforcement related issues associated with water and wastewater regulations and permits.
- Participates in company-wide assessment program and supports other regulatory programs as needed.
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental preferred) from 4-year college or university
Relevant Experience
7+ years related experience and / or training in wastewater treatment design and / or operations
Required Certifications
Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification, or ability to obtain an Idaho P.E. within 1 year.
