General Summary :
This role is a steward of the Corporate Brand, Employer Brand, and related brands.
The Corporate Brand Manager will develop and manage engaging social media content and be responsible for community management.
This manager will be expected to analyze social media performance metrics, report key findings and effectively provide guidance, feedback, and data-driven narratives built from social insights.
They will be expected to utilize social listening tools to identify trends, sentiment, key influencers, and potential reputational risks, partner with content strategists to refine the brand voice for consistency and work with legal advisors to approve content / social media activities and stay abreast of the latest social media tools and platforms.
They will also be expected to monitor industry trends and conversations on social media.
In addition to the social media responsibilities, this manager will support the Corporate Brand team in any needs related to the Corporate and / or Employer brands including content creation and delivery, awards and corporate sponsorships.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Sponsorships :
- Social media management.
- Social media content creation.
- Advertising / communications material content creation.
- Manage and promote corporate sponsorships.
- Manage day to day relationships with corporate sponsorship partners.
- Manage employee engagement with corporate sponsorships, including ticket distribution and promotion.
- Manage leadership engagement with corporate sponsorships.
- Manage engagement with business partners and corporate sponsorships.
- Working with Corporate Communications, deliver any brand related creative materials required.
- Identify opportunities to reinforce and strengthen Unum's corporate brand position.
Corporate Brand :
- Be brand steward and manage brand consistency and promotion.
- Manage content for careers social media.
- Manage annual completion of ESG report.
- Manage enterprise awards strategy and insights.
- Assist as needed with logo store, awards, and corporate website.
Employer Brand : Elevate employer brand awareness and position Unum Group as an employer of choice.
- Manage employee advocacy.
- Be a brand steward, develop employer branding materials to be used to promote company’s digital acquisition efforts.
- Support Corporate Brand director in execution of digital acquisition strategy.
- Manage relationship with Talent Acquisition.
- Working with Corporate Communications, support delivery of any employer brand related materials required.
- Work with business partners to identify opportunities to promote Unum Group as an employer of choice.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or related field
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Must be able to effectively present and communicate to senior leadership
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of all aspects of branding, including visuals, logos, colors, message of voice and tone, etc.

- Advanced knowledge and understanding of corporate sponsorships.
- Advanced knowledge of social media content creation, management, and promotion
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Unum and Colonial Life business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, project management, project execution, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of branding, communication, and marketing dissemination techniques and methods, including conventional print, digital and social media.
- Track record of successfully managing projects within Unum and consistently delivering on time
- Must be an evangelist for the brand internally and externally
- Ability to multi-task projects across multiple disciplines
- Ability to adapt to shifts in priorities
- Ability to take ownership of a project from inception to completion
- Ability to work as part of team and collaborate with both internal and external partners and move team toward the completion of goals

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$63,500.00-$114,300.00
Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.
5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
