Description

We are searching for a courteous and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Technician at our Brighton location. Our ideal candidate will have experience working on all types of equipment, an eye for safety, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment. Upon return, the equipment will need to be inspected for any damages, repaired, and serviced as needed.

Services may include turnarounds, repairs, or annual maintenance.

A typical day might include the following :

  • Diagnose, repair & maintain equipment both diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Service and operate a variety of equipment greater than 10,000lbs.
  • Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Accurate look-up of needed parts.
  • Manage inventory and costs for labor and parts.
  • Maintain work area organization, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Meet company record-keeping expectations.
  • Recognition of cost to repair versus value equation.
  • Flexibility with the fluctuation of the day.

Top candidates will have :

  • Technical repair knowledge on a wide range of equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be self-motivated.
  • Driving record violation-free for previous three years.
  • All appropriate hand tools related to general repair and maintenance operations.
  • Able to lift 70 lbs or more, several times per day.

Physical demands :

  • Standing 20%
  • Walking 70%
  • Sitting 10%

This position is classified as nonexempt.
