Our client is a well-respected home-building business headquartered in Richmond, VA, with a track record of successful projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
In this role, you will handle a variety of general administrative support functions. This position requires someone who is curious, organized, and able to take initiative by identifying areas that may need attention.
You'll use your critical thinking skills to solve problems creatively and help provide a foundation for growth. If you are serious about building a career, this role offers plenty of opportunities, including training to develop new skills.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Primary Responsibilities
This position offers a wide range of administrative tasks and opportunities to grow. You will assist two generations of company owners and the Chief Operating Officer.
Specific duties may include :
- General administrative support such as letter writing, emailing, and data entry.
- Contacting municipalities to confirm addresses or resolve inquiries.
- Researching and compiling data for various business-related tasks, including online research of sales activities.
- Assisting with building permit application packages, construction start packages, and invoice research / entry.
- Creating Excel worksheets based on research and internal data systems.
- Ordering office supplies as needed.
- Supporting special projects that may involve online research or contacting vendors to follow up on issues.
- Shadowing others on tasks related to building permit packages, construction starts, and other operational processes.

Finalists will be asked to complete an assessment as well as give authorization for background and reference checks. This is an office-based position, centrally located in Richmond, VA.
Starting salary is $45,000 to $55,000 based on experience. Benefits include health insurance (90% covered by employer) and a 401(k), with optional employee-paid dental and vision insurance.
