We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team. This is a permanent position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of the accounts payable process, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to supervise and motivate a team of 4-6 accounts payable processors.

The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of high volume processing, electronic payment systems, and the ability to train staff on the use of these systems.

Responsibilities :

1. Supervise a team of 4-6 accounts payable processors, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their work.

2. Process high volume transactions with precision and attention to detail.

3. Review checks and process electronic payments (ACH, BACS, BECS, Wires, etc.).

4. Train staff on the use of electronic systems used in accounts payable, including 3E, Chrome River, Smartsource, and OnBase Imaging.

5. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

6. Collaborate with other members of the finance team and work closely with external stakeholders.

7. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits.

8. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable role, with previous supervisory experience preferred.

2. A four-year university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

3. High volume processing experience is required.

4. Proficient in the use of electronic systems used in accounts payable, including 3E, Chrome River, Smartsource, and OnBase Imaging.

5. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.

6. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.

7. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
