Job Summary :

The eCommerce Demand Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demand across online sales channels.

This role involves forecasting, planning, and coordinating with various departments to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of eCommerce operations, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Demand Forecasting :

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales insights.
  • Utilize statistical models and forecasting software to predict future demand for eCommerce products.

Inventory Management :

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across all eCommerce channels.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to manage lead times and ensure timely replenishment.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) :

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align demand planning with business objectives.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on demand forecasts.

Data Analysis and Reporting :

  • Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to refine demand forecasts.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory performance, forecast accuracy, and sales trends.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

Collaboration and Communication :

  • Work closely with the eCommerce team to understand promotional plans, product launches, and other initiatives impacting demand.
  • Communicate demand plans and inventory status to relevant stakeholders, including senior management.

System and Process Optimization :

  • Leverage advanced planning systems and tools to enhance demand planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve demand planning processes to adapt to changing business needs.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, preferably in an eCommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in forecasting tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms and digital sales channels is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
