We are a leading provider of advanced equipment and service solutions for onsite emergency power. Our company specializes in cost-effective service and repairs on a wide range of commercial and industrial generators.
We are currently seeking experienced field service generator technicians with a strong background in generator systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on various makes and sizes of generators, including diesel, natural gas, and LP gas generators.
Inspect, repair, service, and start-up load bank test equipment.
Troubleshoot generator components, including engines, alternators, controllers, wiring harnesses, safety devices, battery systems, and cooling systems.
Conduct start-up and load bank testing of equipment.
Handle switchgear and paralleling systems.
Perform engine overhauls and preventative maintenance.
Apply technical skills to identify issues and determine corrective actions through logical troubleshooting steps.
Repair and troubleshoot engines from various manufacturers such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo.
Work on generators across a range of wattages, from kW to MW capacities.
Provide services at various customer sites, applying both electrical and mechanical expertise.
Complete daily field service reports (FSRs).
Experience and Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED.
Clean criminal and driving records.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial power generation sets or similar transferrable skills.
Extensive experience with testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, specifically within generator systems.
Familiarity with a wide range of generator brands and models, with experience across various wattage ranges from kW to MW.
Proven experience in load bank testing, engine overhauls, preventative maintenance, and switchgear / paralleling systems.
Hands-on experience working at various customer sites, providing specialized generator services.
Must have a personal set of general tools required for a Generator Field Service Technician.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds if necessary.
Proficient in using computers and mobile devices for web-based service and work order systems.
Physically able to lift 75 pounds without restrictions.
Relevant certifications, such as OEM training and EGSA certification, are preferred.
