Compensation Range : 55,000-62,000

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and / or location.

Job Purpose

Provides engineering support for the testing, qualification and troubleshooting of the complete line of Alpha power products.

Performs a variety of moderately complex analytical and mechanical tasks using standard and specialized test equipment as well as the ability to produce comprehensive graphical reports detailing the results of those tests. #Bel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Setup and execution of detailed product verification and validation test plans, including customer qualifications.
• Collection and processing of data into graphical format to be used in final test reports.
• Solve mechanical or electronic problems involved in the operational testing of the product
• Assist in general laboratory work, including but not limited to general maintenance and upkeep of lab equipment
• Develop experiments and fixtures for product troubleshooting and design with minimal instruction
• Battery testing setup, test process management and data processing as needed
• Creation of test setup as built block diagrams / schematics

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 Year Degree electronics or electrical systems or equivalent military training
• 6-8 years’ experience in field of power supplies / power electronics
• Demonstrated capability of using all standard lab test equipment (oscilliscope, spectrum analyzer, data acquisition, etc)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in power electronics product development
• High proficiency in data processing using tools like Excel

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Lab View
• CAD experience (Altium)
• Energy storage testing experience

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds / 11.5 kilos on occasions.
• Risk of electrical shock.
• Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime.
