Independently performs ultrasound procedures under thedirection of a Perinatologist in a highly technical andprofessional manner to meet daily and oncall patient careneeds.
Roles& Responsibilities :
- Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures recordspatient test results and reports results.
- Monitors patient comfort and safety during tests alertingphysicians to abnormalities or changes in patientresponses.
- Maintains adequate supplies andverifies all equipment is in proper working condition; reportsdeficiencies and failures.
- Positions patientsand selects anatomic and technical parametersaccurately.
- Ensures all activities comply withregulatory agency standards.
- Ensures promptsubmission of highquality of all images and documents sent to PACS(image quality correct lead markers and patientdata / history).
- Assists in maintaining a cleanand orderly department to include procedure rooms storage areasdressing rooms film storage area and any other areas indepartment.
