Network Infrastructure Engineer

Description

What you would do :

• Reviews and addresses network related service requests submitted by users
• Provides recommendations for enhancements that can be made to improve network performance and design
• Conducts standard network administrative tasks including hardware and software lifecycle management, patching, vendor management, and response to security alert
• Conducts day to day tasks associated with managing the firms Voice, Data, and Internet services
• Works closely with external network hardware and service providers to ensure the firm is compliant with current hardware, software, and security patch versions
• Works with technical teams, business owners and vendor contacts to develop required implementation plans and perform necessary testing
• Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the Network Infrastructure Team
• Special projects and other duties as assigned

What is required :

• Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or comparable education and work experience or comparable years of experience
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a Network Engineer role
• Experience in documenting, tracking, managing, reporting, and communicating relevant information to various levels within the organization
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the entire voice stack and peripheral applications
• Physical demands associated with this position include installation of network hardware
