If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Water Resources Engineer opportunity. The position is based in Orlando, FL.

The successful candidate will work in Florida and provide civil engineering analysis and design on a variety of federal, municipal, commercial, and private development projects, including stormwater, grading, multiuse paths, complete / green streets projects, active transportation projects, water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, retaining walls, bridges, and related ancillary structures.

The ideal candidate will be ready to be a part of and grow with a team and have an interest in business development. Mentoring of more junior staff is expected, along with a desire to learn and grow from more senior engineers and project managers.

Your Role

• Serve as a design engineer on a wide variety of municipal civil, stormwater, and water / wastewater projects.
• Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
• Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings and recommend and document design modifications.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers.
• Support construction services (field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing review, RFIs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline required, Master's preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida, or able to obtain within 12 months
• 4+of experience with municipal civil, stormwater, and / or water / wastewater system design.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
• Experience in Low Impact Development (LID) techniques is a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Office software, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
• This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
