What You’ll Do :

The EHS Manager position will be responsible for building and overseeing the company's safety program, including working with the appropriate departments to make safety policies, controls, and forums, improving safety compliance and outcomes across the Velocity Network, and most importantly, building a culture that empowers safety.

Job Duties

  • Implement effective EHS programs that proactively look at safety differently.
  • Lead, identify, and manage EHS risk across the organization.
  • Monitor EHS effectiveness and report on organizational performance.
  • Mentor and coach team members to positively impact Velocity's safety culture.
  • Create a high-performance, safety culture.
  • Engage with and influence a sizeable operational workforce.
  • Work for a growing organization.
  • Travel, including overnight stays.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Five (5) plus years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental position is required
  • Experience working in an automotive or trucking industry is preferred
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and train team members effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in building and sustaining a positive safety culture.
  • Flexibility to travel, including overnight stays, and international travel as needed.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to pass post offer drug test and background check.

Compensation :

$80,000-$90,000 / year annual salary
