Digital Power Systems Tendering Leader

What will you do? Schneider Electric (SE) is seeking an experienced individual with strong program / project management experience to lead the Digital Power Systems initiative to build a best-in-class tendering program team.

The quotation and tendering Digital Power Systems group within Schneider Electric is an innovative organization that is seeking to transform the successful pursuit of opportunities with high levels of performance through collaboration, compliance to key internal controls and CPP requirements, and competency development.

The role will specifically head our tendering program serving U.S. Power Systems and Digital power scopes. This position will be passionate about working with contracts, legal, sales, solution architects, product management, pricing, and operational teams to steward the mitigation of risk and compliance on Digital Power Systems most critical and strategic opportunities.

The Tender Manager team that this role will be serving is an initial team of eight whose role entails diverse responsibilities from tendering sales opportunities is the risk mitigation and portable pursuit of opportunities.

Responsible for managing opportunities that fall within our internal delegation of authority due to contractual requirements, competitive margins / price, risk, and top line dollar thresholds.

Responsibilities include reviewing all bid documents, quotation and margin details, scope of work, sub-contractor compliance if applicable, risk matrix, and preparing presentations and leading escalation review meetings with executive leadership for approvals to bid, schedules, plant commitments, and much more.

Key job responsibilities : Due to the complexities of Power Systems and Digital Power (Digital Power Systems) projects, a strong technical foundation in power systems, energy management and controls solutions is required with relevant experience.

This is a dynamic role with a high level of collaboration and ability to influence and convince others to ensure Schneider wins profitably in the opportunities we pursue.

Strong soft skills, self-awareness, and a true desire to aggressively grow technically and behaviorally is a must. All projects within Power Systems and Digital Power Scopes that include : Delegation of Authorities for aligned DP & PS (DoA) Escalations & SOC’s All projects meeting proactive technical review requirements.

All Made In America (MIA) and CUI opportunities. Complex Controls (PCA) & Microgrid Opportunities with PS / DP Scope Complex Energy Renewable Projects Gas Insulated Projects Global Account Projects and / or XBU Tendered Projects.

This job might be for you if : This role requires a specialized skillset in leading or managing projects / programs, including strong knowledge of Schneider Electric systems, products, and experience working with contractual teams, compliance teams, commercial, technical and product teams to achieve optimal business for SE.

Strong Leadership of People and Tactical business execution is required. Ability to stand firm and tell executive and senior executive level leadership and others NO if needed is required.

Must be teachable and coachable with a passion in developing others for success. BS Engineering / Business. Relevant industry experience and relevant knowledge and technical expertise in practices, principles, and implementation of continuous improvement methodology and auditing process is required.
