Location : Mobile AL (Onsite)
Generally responsible for performing engineering task to support the complete design of small and large civil engineering projects using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods.
This work will be performed under general supervision at our office in Mobile AL. This is a fulltime longterm opportunity offering full benefits competitive pay and upward mobility opportunities.

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to :
- Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.
- Familiarity with project scope specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.
- Produce medium complex complete design calculations and assignments.
- Produce reports for client and / or regulatory agencies.
- Provide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments.
- Checking calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy conformance to codes specifications design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice.
- Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
- Assist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings.
- Perform fieldwork to gather data check tieins and provide construction support.
- Develop written construction specifications that define the scope of work provide specific instruction and prescribe quality standards.
- Perform land development and zoning code research for civilsite development projects.
- Work with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects.
- Review and check submittal drawings and documentation.
- Ability to lead small size teams in coordinating civil efforts and keeping the team focused on scope schedule and budget.
- Assist with estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of civil / structural work.
Requirements
YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
- Professional licensure. Engineer in Training (EIT) registration may be considered if Professional licensure can be obtained in the first 6 months of employment.
- This position requires up to 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in civilsite engineering in the industrial setting. Previous experience in commercial government or infrastructure setting may be considered for this position.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment maintaining focus and reprioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments.
- Knowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE ACI AASHTO AREMA NRCS NFPA etc.).
- Working knowledge of civil stormwater analysis software (SSA HECRAS HECHMS and / or ICPR) including operating and interpreting results.
- Ability to listen actively and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients.
- Ability to work with a team to complete small and large projects.
- Able to assist with the development of presentations of company services.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Civil3D software is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support.
- Ability to sit stand or walk for long periods of time.
