Telehealth Psychiatrist - Night Call

MindCare Solutions is a leading provider of round-the-clock telepsychiatry and in-person behavioral health that provides services to hospitals, emergency departments and a variety of other care settings.

We partner with healthcare organizations to deliver best-in-class, end-to-end behavioral health solutions that combine evidence-based care pathways, advanced technology, and high-quality providers.

We are searching for a BC / BE Psychiatrist licensed in MO, KS or LA to provide Consult-Liaison Psychiatry (Inpatient Medical / Surgical consultation) and / or ED coverage to our clients.

Compensation : $350 per hour on average ($175 per encounter)

Position Summary :

• Psychiatrist will see approximately 1- 3 patient encounters per evening
• 12-hour shifts between (7p-7a)
• Respond immediately to consult requests received during a scheduled shift
• Provide recommendations for assessment, treatment, and monitoring
• Utilization of the following EHRs Intelligent Routing, Meditech, Epic, Core
• MindCare will assist in the cost to get licensed if Psychiatrist already has one compact licensure; we may request additional licenses as well
• Psychiatrist will evaluate and treat patients referred for the assessment and treatment of neuropsychiatric conditions, behavioral health disorders, and comorbid conditions.
• Provide recommendations for assessment, treatment, and monitoring including prescribing medications within limits of applicable
• Other State license preferences : KS, MO, LA, TN, TX, CA, ID, UT, AK
• MindCare utilizes productivity compensation models - multiple options are available
• Perform psychiatric hold evaluations in ED as needed

Qualifications :

• Psychiatrist is required to have an active and unrestricted license in the state of MO, LA, KS
• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry
• Valid and unrestricted DEA
• Required to be well-versed in telemedicine technologies and EHR programs
• PMHNP Supervision / Collaboration may also be requested
