Major / Essential Functions
- Assists Director for the Institute of Sustainability and Circular Economy (ISCE)
- Facilitates the efficient utilization of the Director’s time through coordination of a complex calendar of appointments / meetings, and by developing & drafting correspondence memos & letters
- Supports activities for Workforce Development and Education (logistics, recruitment, outreach events)
- Coordinates the administrative support for ISCE, for example procurement, travel, member’s database, etc.
- Organizes meetings and preparation of meeting materials as necessary, for example, meeting and event agendas, PowerPoint presentations and brochures (in coordination with Media Coordinator), etc.
- Serves as event coordinator, including seminars, webinars, workshops, symposia
- Promotes a positive image of ISCE and a welcoming environment to visitors and stakeholders
- Exercises discretion and safeguards the confidentiality of ISCE information
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Solid administrative skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills ( writing samples / portfolio )
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proofreading / editing abilities; grammatical skills
- Ability to professionally interact with various levels of administration
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and / or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.
