Position Summary

OVG is looking for people to join our team at Canvas Stadium for the 2024 CSU Football Season. The Beer Pourer is responsible for serving beer / wine and must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work longer hours if needed or when business needs dictate.

This is a part-time position.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $13.65 plus tips

Benefits for PT roles : 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

This position will remain open until October 31, 2024

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner, ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
  • The Bartender / Beer Pourer should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standards.
  • Acknowledge all guests, anticipate guest's needs, and respond promptly to guests; however busy.
  • Entering and completing guest's orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s).
  • Responsibly serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player.
  • Responsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of product.
  • Assures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operable.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards at work.
  • Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state / federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.

Refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age or have an expired ID.

  • Follow company's guidelines for serving any beer / wine in appropriate cup size.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required.
  • Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift.

Qualifications

  • Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy.
  • Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time; work long hours if needed.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to (4) hours in length; must be able to safely reach, bend, stop and frequently lift up to 25lbs.
