Solar Geotechnical Program Manager

G2 Consulting Group is seeking a full time solar program manager to provide management oversight on geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects for multiple clients within the national solar market, Plans, organizes, and administers project execution activities to support the needs of clients on multiple projects.

Maintains contact with past and present clients to develop leads and maintain relationships. Coordinates project team to develop proposal effort, strategy, and budget to deliver sinning proposals.

Provides senior review and obtains appropriate technical input for proposal / project execution efforts. Develops and secures new contracts with new and existing clients.

Manages assigned staff ensuring appropriate resourcing of projects. Responsibilities - Asseses the solar market secrtor including opportunities and risks and develops strategies to penetrate the market, identify clients and win projects.

• Works with client staff members to identify, develop, and propose future work assignments. -Manages project execution inculding proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship and quality.
• Effectively uses workflows and processes to secure project resources, complete proposals, develop contracts, maintain project records, monitor project execution, bill clients, and collect receivables.
• Works effectively with Project Managers and technical project support staff to monitor and control projects to achieve financial target metrics for all projects.
• Mentors and coaches project team members and provides constructive feedback on performance. - Leads project teams to meet or exceed client expectations while meeting inudstry standard of care.
• Provides supervision of dedicated staff within solar program team. Manages direct reports consisting of Project Managers, Engineers, and other field staff.
• Coordinates with Company / Office leadership to monitor project management performance and provide mentoring and career guidance related to project management.

• Willingness to exceed client and stakeholders schedules, deadlines, and expectations. - Ability to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to risk assement and Health and Safety planning, by conducting risk reviews for high hazard work at the proposal stage;

budgeting for Health and Safety for each project in the portfolio. - Demonstrates leadership by conducting management site visits, providing recognition, coaching and mentoring junior staff for effective project safety management.

Demonstrates commitment to vetting and managing subcontractors for safety Success. Experience and Academic Requirements Education : Bachelors degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.

Masters degree in Geotechnical or Geological engineering preferred. PE License required. Exprerience : 8-10 years of related experience, 5-7 years project management experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required.

3-4 years of supervisory / management experience required. Certification / Registration : Professional engineering registration required.
