Sr. Specialist, Inventory

Opportunity
The Sr. Specialist, Inventory role is responsible for driving inventory planning and management best practices for assigned product categories.
The position has responsibility to help the organization align inventory strategy with business strategy and support the supply planning function and business overall with developing and executing inventory levels that leverage investments for maximum sales productivity.
This position drives continuous improvement of inventory leverage and practices through root cause analysis, corrective action identification and ensures resolution.
Specific Responsibilities
- Proactively analyze inventory levels in the organization to understand opportunities for improvement to achieve service levels while operating with minimum inventory.
- Partner with other supply chain teams to implement inventory reduction initiatives and drive resolution to completion.
- Develop tools & reports to provide early alerts on inventory potential inventory risks, both shortages and surpluses.
- Prepare assigned summaries of inventory results and projections, including effective consolidation of explanations of variation to targets and resulting actions.
- Own assigned dashboards and analytics tools to ensure data accuracy, value and effective use.
- Lead initiatives as subject matter expert to identify and advance capabilities (processes and tools) to support inventory strategy deployment and improving organizational capability.
Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required : Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance or Engineering.
- At least 5 years’ experience in supply chain management, including relevant inventory planning responsibilities, required.
Problem solving methods (root cause analysis, identification of corrective actions, and management of resolution) required.
- Experience with advanced inventory optimization methods and tools preferred; and capability to use and deploy is required.
- APICS / IBF or other related certification is preferred
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $111,150. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
