Consultant- Pr/Marketing

Job Description

The Marketing Consultant, Advertising & Consumer Marketing assists with advertising and consumer marketing in the Marketing & Communications department.

This position works closely with marketing team members to coordinate projects and tasks to meet set deadlines and communicate to all parties on progress.

The Marketing Consultant, Advertising & Consumer Marketing will bring a spirit of constant learning and optimization to the work that the department does in support of the organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Paid Advertising & Consumer Marketing Support

Supports the development, execution and optimization of key marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns in support of UC Health's organizational growth goals. Responsibilities include :

• Supports paid advertising initiatives, including, but not limited to, brand campaign initiatives.
• Develops and maintains the paid advertising calendar.
• Tracks peer and aspirational institutions' paid advertising and messaging.
• Works with external agencies to establish and meet project goals, budgets and timelines.
• Identifies industry / consumer trends and incorporates innovative activations into the marketing plans.

Event Activations, Promotional Materials & Sponsorships

Serves as support for sponsorships as a channel for brand and service line promotion. Coordinates activations and the materials needed for them. Responsibilities include :

• Leads and manages the marketing-supported sponsorship calendar.
• Provides recommendations for optimization of key events / sponsorships.
• Supports event activations which can include planning, organization, implementation and representing UC Health at external activations when needed.
• Develops a list of asset needs for sponsorships with key deliverable dates and traffics opportunities to the appropriate persons in partnership with Creative Services.
• Supports the development of communication plan for dissemination of sponsorship benefits to internal audiences with the communications team.
• Maintains a catalogue and inventory of event and promotional materials and ensures materials are in good working order.
• Oversees the request process for event and promotional materials for the organization including pickups and returns.

Project Management

Coordinates brand and integrated marketing projects and tasks to meet set deadlines and communicate to all parties on progress. Responsibilities include :

• Manages incoming marketing project requests.
• Updates project timelines and task completion.
• Provides projects updates to work streams and client as appropriate.
• Utilizes appropriate tools & technology to execute on-time delivery.
• Manages multiple projects congruently including the tasks within each with little direction.
• Focuses on efficiency and ensures processes are adhered to on projects.
• Recognizes risks / issues that need escalation, provides recommendations, and arranges for appropriate assistance.
• Ensures issues requiring escalation are routed to the appropriate contact and resolved.

Project Reporting

Serves as a central resource for reporting on the status of marketing projects. Responsibilities include :

• Contributes to the monthly scorecard report.
• Prepares ad-hoc reports upon request.
• Uses reporting data as a catalyst for improvement.

Vendor Coordination

Cultivates and coordinates relationships with freelancers, vendors and agency partners to ensure quality deliverables and support brand health. Responsibilities include :

• Builds and maintains external vendor relationships. Primary vendors include promotional item vendors and advertising vendors.
• Coordinates project resources including freelancers, vendors and agency partners to ensure awareness of expectations and deliverables.
• Obtains quotes and purchase orders while adhering to the outlined budget.

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Planning, Health Administration, Communication, Marketing, Business Administration / Management or related degree
• 3 to 5 years equivalent experience
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database skills, graphic presentation, internet search engine skills
• Skilled in project management methodologies, standards and tools
• Excellent team, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and excellent time management
• Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

While the position will work in a normal office environment, travel to the various hospitals and work locations will be necessary.

Work hours will vary based on needs of the organization. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required for this position.
