We are seeking a Product Support Engineer who will be responsible for matters related to new product development and technical support for new and existing product lines, both domestically and world-wide.
Essential Functions : Provide technical support to customers, sales network, customer service personnel and international subsidiaries.
Initiate new project requests.Work with sales network and end users to investigate material usage and industry pricing to enhance the success of new product development.
Monitor progress on new product development, and work with Engineers on existing products to make changes necessary to meet changing requirements of customer or industry standards.
Work with engineering to write and release industry focused seminar papers based on laboratory and field research.Analyze and resolve product malfunctions and complaints.
Visit customer locations to provide product training.Travel Requirements : Travel when required with sales network personnel in support of sales efforts and to identify new opportunities (10-20%)Qualifications and Requirements : Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering2+ years of experience in the markets PLP serves or with the products PLP uses.
Good verbal and written skills as the position deals with both internal employees and customers.
