As one of Buffalo's top places to work, we are a leading law firm looking to bring on a Director of Human Resources. Our firm employs over 150 across western New York and has grown over 15% year over year for the last 3 years! We are looking for a strong leader in HR to lead the strategic and project based side of the HR team.
This role will report to the CFO & be a key liaison between stakeholders and the HR team.
Reason for hiring : This role is a new creation as the person covering many of the duties will be supporting the operations side of the business, opening up a full time role for a strategic leader to join the team.
There will be no direct reports to this hire, at this time.

Job Details
Requirements :
- Bachelors Degree in HR or related field
- 7+ Years of HR Leadership experience within a professional services or corporate environment
- Experienced in building strategies, analyzing data, trends and results to create new processes
- Team Player : "can do" attitude, not a "not in my job description" attitude!
Duties :
- Build strategies around Talent Acquisition and Retainment, bring fresh ideas for employee wellness & 401(k) plans
- Work with team to improve existing process of Employee Onboarding
- Implement training programs
- Payroll oversight and Benefits Administration
- Leverage HRIS systems to build processes
- General HR Operations : manage metrics and reporting, records and compliance etc.
