Resident Engineer - Transportation

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design.

We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.

SIE is looking for a Resident Engineer with New York State Department of Transportation experience to join our firm on a project in the Bronx.

The ideal candidate will have highway and bridge experience and have a strong familiarity with NYSDOT projects. Responsibilities : Monitor contractor's work.

Lead and conduct progress meetings Manage direct reports including Inspectors and Office Engineer Ensure the construction is as per plan and specifications Manage daily logs, submittals, change orders, estimates, invoices Ensure safety of the construction project Qualification & Skills : Bachelor’s degree in engineering Licensed Professional Engineer in New York 5+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer 15+ years of experience in NYSDOT projects including highways and bridges.

Experience with NYSDOT strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills and work ethic A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved Expected salary range is $156,000 - $200,000 annually.

Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
