NetImpact Strategies is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our onsite team in Aurora, CO.
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining server operating systems, ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems for related infrastructure software and hardware.
- Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of infrastructure platforms.
- Execute capacity analysis, maintain the security posture of infrastructure systems, and monitor performance.
- Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation for operational upkeep.
- Perform platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture.
- Assist architecture and engineering with evaluating, making recommendations, and testing infrastructure hardware and software products.
- Provide support for Virtual Machines (VM).
- Execute Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
- Create, deploy, and report on Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Upgrade / update server and workstation OS to the current version.
- Upgrade / update applications (e.g., Med365 / M365, Adobe, Java) including testing and deploying new images and troubleshooting.
- Serve as problem management, providing workarounds and determining root cause analysis related to patching and vulnerability management.
- Provide support for management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Provide support for system backup and restoration operations.
- Assist with developing, maintaining, and employing documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for backup, restoration, and system replication operations, ensuring they align with ITIL and industry best practices.
- Implement processes to support and assist in ensuring system and infrastructure backups are completed as scheduled.
- Follow Enterprise directives to periodically test backup and restore operations where applicable.
- Aid in documenting all backup and restoration operations in logs for auditing purposes.
- Assist and make recommendations to improve processes, tools, and / or procedures for backup efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate to resolve any backup / restore process issues.
- Ensure all backups and removable media are encrypted according to Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) or other DoD / Federal requirements.
- Properly label and store backups and removable media in fire-resistant vaults for operational (on-site) and historical (off-site) storage according to policy.
- Configure, maintain, and update Avaya Application Server (Red Hat Linux OS).
- Perform technical duties related to VOIP, IX Messaging, ACD, and custom Call Center applications, including performing or assigning adds, moves, and changes related to endpoints.
- Provide knowledge and expertise in Red Hat Linux OS.
- Monitor daily performance alarms, errors, and outage trends.
- Review product delivery, verify hand receipts / ownership responsibilities, and ensure diagrams, sustainment, and operational documentation are available to support staff.
- Track pertinent system information, architecture, and performance metrics.
- Submit circuit requests, and perform all circuit sustainment actions (e.g., Toll-Free Number, and DSN activities).
- Define and create Avaya system permissions and skill level access.
- Update and document VOIP system structure, VLAN Configuration, File Server settings, Avaya Ports, Protocols, and Services Management.
- Maintain credentials to access hosted environments.
- Participate in project, leadership, and other telecommunication-related meetings.
Qualifications
Required :
- One or more of the following certifications (IAT II) : CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CECNDSS.
- Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree and / or equivalency.
- Proven expertise in system administration, including server operating systems management and troubleshooting.
