The Corporate Recruiter, reporting to the Vice President of Talent, is responsible for supporting the recruitment function of Brakes Plus by proactively identifying candidates and creating a pipeline of talent to improve quality of hire and time to fill.
This position is also responsible for coordinating the recruiting efforts between Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, Store Managers, other various Hiring Managers and the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Proactively create and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates (w / priority at the Service Advisor, and Certified Technician level) through cold calling, networking, data mining
- Effectively influence passive job seekers to pursue opportunities within BP.
- Maintain the established recruiting requirements by reviewing store positions, plans and objectives to be discussed on a weekly basis with Director of Recruiting
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references and comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules
- Assist in creation and execution of quarterly open house events, as well as annual career fair schedule
- Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers
- Assist with the coordination of the TAP, SAT, and BPU programs across the Brakes Plus footprint
- Work with Human Resources department and assist in the coordination of the on boarding process for new hires
- Cultivate candidate touchpoints from application to hire
- Communicate with hiring managers and partners of progress and escalate issues as needed
- Share market information and educate managers on current recruitment challenges / conditions
- Actively pursue job specific training opportunities, as well as professional networking organizations that can lead to increased success in role
- Serve as a Brakes Plus brand ambassador
Position Requirements :
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience in a high-volume recruiting atmosphere
- Experience with all phases of the recruitment life-cycle
- Experience / ability to manage the recruitment process from initial request, to working with the business to develop a staffing strategy, to final candidate selection and on-boarding
- Must be self-disciplined, structured, possess effective communication skills and follow-up
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage several openings
- Results driven and highly motivated
- Previous experience working within an ATS (SmartRecruiters or Greenhouse preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Up to 30% travel within assigned region
