Associate Director, Software Development and Implementation

Job Overview

Solves complex applications systems / programming problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.

Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.

Essential Functions

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates the application of information system techniques to existing and future needs.
• Performs complex systems analysis and programming tasks requiring advanced techniques.
• Provides technical advice and consultation on difficult analysis and programming problems.
• Participates in systems development and maintenance.
• Conducts analysis of complex data processing applications and prepares feasibility studies to evaluate user needs for new or revised systems.
• Coordinates the interfaces between major systems and programs.
• Activities include the conceptualization, development, and implementation of complex program designs.
• Often responsible for achieving operational status within required time parameters and within acceptable operating performance.
• Defines system objectives and prepares systems design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems.
• Investigates available hardware and software configurations and capabilities; recommends optimal system to meet applications justification of data processing systems.
• Presents recommendations to management.
• Prepares and conducts comprehensive system and programming tests.
• Debugs malfunctions and modifies programs accordingly.
• May identify and implement root cause fixes to program, system and / or applications errors.
• Recommends system software modifications or changes to hardware configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related discipline, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience
• Eight (8) years experience in systems analysis / application programming
• As an alternative to the experience requirements listed above, possesses a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Information Technology with a specific Technology Experience Ratio of 75% or higher (years of experience in the specific technology years the technology has existed)
• Significant programming and systems knowledge
• Familiarity with JMix framework is expected
• Good knowledge of CI / CD frameworks, Jenkins preferred
• Net experience
• Strong functional programming experience, Scala preferred
• Distributed architecture experience, Hadoop and Spark preferred.
• Systems Integration experience
• Triton implementation Experience

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $116,900.00 - $217,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience;

location; and / or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and / or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and / or other benefits.
