We are looking for an engaging Retail Market Managerto help us build our retail presence in the Atlanta Showroomand surrounding areas.
The candidate will work with their peers, Area Managers, and the Retail Vice President and Director to develop the foundation for our retail business and community presence across the market.
We are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and has great interpersonal skills. In this role, you will focus on executing processes and procedures that help us consistently provide an exceptional customer experience and ensure that the showroom exceeds performance targets, and maintain brand consistency.
How we work This role will be based out of our Atlanta. As an Onsite TBT team member, you will need to be in person working full-time (40 hours per week) from a showroom.
The reason being, this role has a requirement for a physical presence to do this job with customers and team members. We host a number of onsite events where all our team members are welcome!
- Embody our values and effectively conveying our brand philosophy to customers and employees
- Manage scheduling and time-off matters for all Showroom and Nordstrom associates
- Identify training needs and support ongoing training and development for all team members
- Ensure all stores deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement across the area
- Regularly visit stores to assess operational efficiency
- Host weekly meetings and support performance reviews for associates within the market
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards across the market
- Conduct regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and supply requests to support the assigned market’s product needs for exceptional customer experience
- Ensure appointment compliance across the market to protect the revenue allocation
- Assist with Showroom or Nordstrom launches as the business requires
- Support employee lifecycle including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution as needed within an assigned area
- Awareness of store budgets and travel expenses across the market
- Support the supervising Area Manager with administrative and strategic responsibilities
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of retail or related industry management experience
- Proven record hiring, managing, developing, and retaining a team
- Independent work ethic, highly organized in time management skills, and personal accountability
- Innovative, positive, proactive team player
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient in technology and quick learner for new platforms
- Willingness to travel to stores throughout the assigned area or other areas as needed
- Experience as a vendor or partner within a department store is a plus
- Previous remote or satellite leadership is a plus
- Bachelor's degree is a plus

$77,000 - $90,000 a yearThe base salary range for this position will be $77,000-$90,000. Compensation may vary based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and location.
The Black Tux defines compensation plans using market data aligned with comparable companies at a similar stage and size as ours.
