Job Description
The Property Manager, or Residential Property Manager, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of residential properties and tenant satisfaction.
Their duties include scheduling routine maintenance like landscaping, mowing lawns, replacing roof tiles or changing air vents, overseeing a team of resident and maintenance staff and enforcing rental terms.
Job Duties :
Collecting rent and property fees from tenants and owners
Managing property expenses, including taxes, mortgages, and maintenance costs
Reporting financial status, occupancy, and lease expirations to property owners
Meeting potential tenants, conducting property tours, and evaluating applications
Advertising vacant properties and coordinating leasing efforts as necessary
Inspecting properties, arranging repairs, and managing service contracts
Addressing property complaints and resolving rental violations
Job Qualifications :
Proficiency in property management software (preferably Yardi and / or One Site)
Minimum of 2-3 years of apartment management experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service oriented with strong teamwork abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently
Flexible schedule, including weekends and property tours
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of rental contracts and anti-discrimination laws
Familiarity with Tax Credit requirements and affordable housing regulations
Additional Requirements :
Experience managing Flagship properties with government oversight
Ability to navigate high-profile interactions with clients, ownership, and housing authorities
Confidence in leading staff and enforcing policies and procedures
Immediate availability for work
