Position : Part-time
Duties :
- Instruct group exercise classes in your area of expertise, which may include but is not limited to low impact, step, cycling, yoga, body toning, kickboxing, Pilates, P90x, TRX Suspension, Turbo-kick, or Zumba...
- Arrive at least ten minutes before the start time of each class to set up and remain ten minutes after the class for clean-up and customer interaction.
- Ensure the exercise room is cleaned, equipment is wiped down, and all items are accounted for after each class.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance, demonstrating energy and positivity.
- Conduct pulse and water breaks during classes, and ensure music is professionally mixed and non-explicit.
- Adjust the pace of classes for first-time students and ensure all participants stretch major muscles.
- Record attendance for each class on the designated form.
Requirements :
- Current and valid professional certifications in your specific area of group exercise instruction.
- CPR with AED and first aid certifications.
- Primary certification from an accredited health / fitness organization or a commercial / industry health / fitness organization approved by the Service HQ in the specific physical activity program.
- At least six months of consecutive work experience if the certification required a written exam but no practical examination.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to demonstrate all types of steps and movements and adjust class intensity as needed.
