With direct supervision, the Key position's role is to support the front-of-house team members and management team, within a single restaurant, through maintenance of restaurant standards, customer and team member relations, internal communication and strive to achieve overall quality and consistency on a daily basis.

This role should be a leader with a "whatever it takes" attitude in helping the restaurant management team, team members and customers.

POSITION DETAILS

Maintain high employment quality standards consistent with Bloomin' Brands policies

Performing assigned pre-opening quality checks (kitchen and bar line checks, interior and exterior maintenance)

Review staffing and station assignments

Preparing for and conducting pre-shift meeting

Ensuring the restaurant is completely ready for service 15 minutes prior to opening

Supporting and coaching the front-of-house staff in customer service

Ability to balance the needs of the front- and back-of-house team members for smoother operations

Performing table checks, and handling routine customer problems (re-cooks, comps, etc)

Completing server check-outs and tip reporting

Accurately collecting, tracking recording and distributing tip outs

Completing all end of shift paperwork

Preparing restaurant to be closed at the end of operations and securing the premises

Participate in special events, marketing, purchasing, training, quality control and financial control activities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Certified in any front-of-house functions

Passing grade in Assessment testing

Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in the restaurant industry

Training and proficient in all areas of the front-of-house functions like Hostess, Bus, Server, Bartender, Head Waiter, Trainer and Take-Away

Held positions of leadership previously

Position Details :

Assist with staffing levels and determining which staff are assigned to each shift.

Manages all employees to maintain high employment quality standards consistent with the Outback brand including, but not limited to, hiring, development, counseling, promotion, discipline, and termination as appropriate.

Share the vital responsibility to recruit, interview, and hire Outbackers to staff your restaurant.

Champion our development paths for all Outbackers so that they can reach their career goals. These development paths provide the roadmaps for our internal management promotions.

Enforce safety and sanitary practices and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal / state / local laws, and ordinances; all health inspections meet required state standards.

The operational basics and standards are adhered to with total commitment and passion through providing direction and guidance to employees.

Actively participates as a member of the management team.

Responds to guest comments and seeking the opportunity to build guest count while educating and empowering other Outbackers to act in a similar capacity.

Sets excellent customer service and work examples.

Demonstrate knowledge of the entire menu and preparation.

Engage in community and market-related opportunities at the restaurant.

Minimum Requirements :

One (1) year previous restaurant management experience

Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule.

Minimum age 21 years.

Preferred Requirements :

One (1) year previous experience in full service (including bar) restaurant management

Certification in food safety.

Willingness to relocate within the assigned region.

Computer skills.
