Job Title : Import Customs Entry Writer
Location : Miami, FL
Our client, a prominent freight forwarding company, is seeking a skilled Import Customs Entry Writer to join their team in Miami, FL.
As an Import Customs Entry Writer, you will play a crucial role in managing the import process, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating the smooth entry of goods into the country.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and process import documentation for customs clearance, including entry forms and other required documents
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and import requirements
- Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
- Communicate with customs officials to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Provide regular updates on shipment status to both customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records of all customs entries and related documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient customs clearance
- Handle the process from start to finish
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs entry writing, preferably in a freight forwarding environment
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and import requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- CargoWise experience is an advantage
