Description
Lead sourcing and supply chain strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, and optimizing business processes. Determine and lead demand and supplier capacity.
Manage regional, commodity and new product sourcing teams, and promote alignment of purchasing strategy with business unit and supply chain goals.
Implement policies and metrics to ensure the best combination of cost, quality and delivery. Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain, and validate sourcing and contract activities of sourcing teams.
Perform Supply Chain Management by interfacing between suppliers and supply chain operations to solve and prevent supply issues.
Critically identify an issue’s scope and parameters while analyzing it from multiple perspectives, and determine the root cause as well as broad implications of issues by applying a variety of analytical tools and processes, including Six Sigma.
Utilize extensive experience with managing execution to coordinate performance across regions, teams, and departments on complex projects and work flows, and effectively delegate to ensure completion of complex product projects.
Develop the strategy for and lead negotiations with suppliers to consistently deliver contracts that are easily managed by functional owners, and be responsible for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Ensure that capacity planning is accurate and negotiate capacity requirements in supplier contracts to deliver the lowest TCO through extensive understanding of the interrelationship between capacity management and product quality.
Assimilate available data performance metrics and create a TCO pricing model, analyze supplier financial risk, define the business, technical, and qualitative requirements, and accommodate differences in competencies and expectations so that supplier responses may be evaluated objectively.
Develop piece-part cost models utilizing extensive knowledge in product cost management and the manufacturing process involved in producing parts, including castings, fabrications, machining process, and injection molding.
Determine and help business manage demand and supplier capacity.

Experience and Education :
Positions require a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Product or Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain or Sourcing Analyst, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Product or Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain or Sourcing Analyst, or related position.
