Required Qualifications : A valid Michigan teaching certificate is required, with an administrative certification preferred.
Strong communication skills are essential, including excellent verbal and written abilities. The ideal candidate will have training or experience in literacy, mathematics, and interventions and expertise with a range of assessment tools and strategies.
Additionally, the candidate must meet all background checks and fingerprinting requirements.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills : The ideal candidate is adaptable, committed to continuous learning and growth, and skilled at supporting teachers and principals across all grade levels.
They will analyze data trends and focus their efforts on implementing best practices. With proven experience working with K-12 students, the candidate will provide classroom teachers and building principals with grade-level content expectations and standards.
Additionally, they will assist teachers in incorporating best practices in classroom instruction, integrating technology, and supporting classroom management to improve student outcomes.
The successful candidate should also have experience working collaboratively as part of a team.
A successful candidate will be able to : Collaborate closely with instructional staff and building principals to support the development and implementation of an innovative, cohesive, and aligned curriculum that meets state standards and flows seamlessly across grade levels.
They will ensure that best instructional practices are in place throughout the district, promoting differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of our community of learners.
This role includes supporting principals and, as needed, stepping in as a substitute administrator in their absence.
This role involves overseeing state and federal reporting, managing assessments, and leading the school improvement process to continuously elevate student learning and achievement district-wide.
The Director will work closely with the administrative team to create a forward-thinking vision that aligns with our district’s mission to innovate, collaborate, and educate.
Additionally, this individual will help review and recommend instructional staffing levels, make essential curriculum updates, and develop and implement a multi-year professional development plan.
These recommendations will be presented to the Superintendent, supporting our district’s commitment to a progressive and innovative approach to student success.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Position Details : The role offers competitive pay based on credentials and experience and is classified as administrative non-bargaining.
It follows a 262-day annual work calendar, which includes vacation time. This position will also serve to fill in during the absence of a building principal, with the flexibility to have the desk move as needs in the district shift.
We are open to flexible arrangements whether part-time, full-time, or a limited hybrid setup with compensation adjusted accordingly.

This individual will play a critical role in enhancing the daily experiences of both students and teachers, fostering an environment of growth and success, while also supporting building principals.
