Starting at $16.50 hr
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Answering and documenting incoming phone calls.
- Ability to work in a high-volume call center environment.
- Scheduling and confirming Patient’s appointments, providing preparation instructions.
- Ability to learn new concepts and information effectively.
- Verifying correct coding / eligibility for patient charts.
- Responding to email correspondences in a timely manner.
- Request and enter prior authorization documentation from healthcare providers
- Prepping patient charts, obtaining resident MD approval.
- Demonstrates customer service excellence consistently. Ability to prioritize appointments, stay organized, ensuring excellent patient experience and care.
- Ability to meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of : Key Performance Indicators, member satisfaction and attendance
Qualifications :
- High school Diploma or higher
- Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new technology systems and applications.
- Customer service experience
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Familiar with insurance verification; including HMO / PPO plans, CPT codes, and ICD 10 (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and understanding clinical information obtained and can explain clinical information to both patient and / or provider
- Communicate and collaborate with team-members and providers to resolve issues, using clear, simple language to ensure understanding
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Action-oriented - Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Able to work, communicate and collaborate with others effectively and efficiently.
