At Staffmark, we have partnered with a local school located in Charleston, SC seeking to fill a Security Officer position.

Pay rate : $19 - $21 / hr. (Depending on experience)
Schedule : 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (With flexibility to work when the school is closed)
Security Officer essential tasks :
- Assess and respond to emergencies and safety threats promptly
- Monitor video surveillance and control building access for visitors and staff
- Conduct regular security checks throughout the campus and protect school property
- Collaborate with First Responders and assist in guiding staff to safety during incidents
- Investigate alarms and address security incidents effectively
- Complete written activity reports and ensure compliance with safety regulations and department rules
- Perform security officer duties at the campuses as assigned by the Director of Safety and Security
Qualifications :
- 2-3 years of security experience, ideally in a K-12 educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office / Google applications and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Associate's degree or equivalent education / experience, plus experience in coaching or supervising others
