Summary :

The Director of Marketing at Gateway Studios & Production Services is responsible for the strategy, development, evaluation, execution, and management of the Marketing Department and all its campaigns, initiatives, and budgets.

The Director of Marketing develops short and long-term marketing goals and plans, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational priorities of GSPS, and executes the plans accordingly.

Other responsibilities include driving company growth through strategic decision-making and ensuring that all marketing campaigns serve to increase the company’s growth, visibility, brand loyalty, and profitability.

This position reports to the President of Business Development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major Responsibilities :

1. Marketing Leadership :

  • Develop, oversee, manage all aspects of the marketing department, including advertising, market research, public relations, and sales.
  • Set goals and objectives for the marketing department and develop strategies for implementing and achieving those objectives.
  • Plan and execute the marketing strategy of the company.
  • Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives.
  • Develop a keen awareness of the trends of the market and lead the market research efforts of the company.
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations and ensure they align with Gateway’s culture and brand.
  • Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across many channels, press, digital, etc.
  • Build and maintain a highly efficient and talented team of marketing professionals.
  • Create and maintain a solid network of strategic business partnerships.

2. Sales Growth & Budgeting :

  • Plan the annual and quarterly marketing budget and ensure optimal use of the budget.
  • Lead market research initiatives to create and develop marketing strategies and plans that lead to an increase in client outreach, client satisfaction, and sales.
  • Collect data and do analysis to make strategic decisions and evaluate marketing plans and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the ELT and Business Development teams to facilitate the execution of marketing and sales budgets and strategic plans to increase brand visibility and growth of sales.

3. Collaboration & Communication :

  • Collaborate with the ELT and Business Development team to be consistent with the brand, marketing, and sales strategy of GSPS.
  • Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service and client outreach.
  • Align marketing plans with other departments to ensure coordination among all departments.
  • Work closely with sales and business development team to ensure client satisfaction.

4. Attendance :

Attendance is an essential requirement for this position.

5. Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor :

To be determined by supervisor on a permanent or project basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience :

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • 10+ years of experience pertaining to marketing, advertising, and / or business administration / development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in data analysis, business strategy, and market research.
  • Experience managing and leading marketing teams in demanding business environments.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of live event production technologies, including video, audio, lighting, and rigging.

  • Solid understanding of live event production technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to design and coordinate marketing campaigns.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Manual Dexterity :

  • Sufficient manual dexterity to perform activities required under essential functions.
  • Frequent light grasping and fine motor tasks (50-75% of shift).

Coordination :

Ability to perform gross body coordination and hand-eye coordination tasks without instability.

Mobility :

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, lift and move frequently during working hours.
  • Frequent standing (10 - 25%).
  • Occasional stair climbing and descending (up to 20% of shift).

Vision :

Must be able to see or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to assure that the essential functions of this position can be fully met.

Hearing :

Must be able to hear or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to assure that the essential functions of this position can be fully met.

Speech :

Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
